Visit the Barton Creek Greenbelt - this is 12 miles of walking trails and swimming holes that winds through Austin.Get a drink at Cosmic Coffee or Radio Coffee and Beer - if you want to just relax and take it easy while enjoying a cup of coffee or a beer throughout the day, we highly recommend either of these two locations.Grab some Asian/BBQ fusion at Loro - one of our favorite fusion places to eat in all of Austin, Loro is a joint venture from two renowned restaurant owners from Franklin's BBQ and Uchi Sushi.You can get their pastrami in multiple ways, but we recommend having the moist pastrami on their Caesar salad.įor those staying in South Austin, here are some of our recommendations: Whenever we are out that way, we make a point to stop at this restaurant. Pieous Pizza - a pizza restaurant with amazing homemade pastrami.Check on Google Maps for wait time before you go - it could be no wait, or it could be 2 hours. Fantastic atmosphere, great BBQ selection and sides, and they encourage you to BYOB and drink out on their patio while you wait to be seated. Take a "pit" stop at Salt Lick Barbecue - this is one of the most well known BBQ spots in Austin.Supposedly Jensen can be seen some weekends behind the bar serving drinks, but we haven't seen him.yet. This place has a really cozy vibe with good drinks and good food trucks. Check out Family Business Beer Company - owned by Jensen and Danneel Ackles (from the Supernatural TV show). Their outdoor patio typically has live music on weekends. Spend an hour or two at Deep Eddy Tasting Room - a great place for vodka cocktails.This place has a massive beer garden spread out across the ranch with yard games and plenty of non-sour beers and non-alcoholic options too. Grab food and drinks at Jester King Brewery - known for their sour beers and stone-fired pizza.If you are looking to spend some time out near Dripping Springs, close to the wedding venue, you can enjoy some iconic day drinking and a quintessential central Texas Barbecue spot!
